Language Arts Resources
Dav Pilkey, author ofthe Captain Underpants and Dog Man series, is working with Scholastic to provide activities for kids to do at home. Each week you can read a section from one of the Dog Man books and Dav Pilkey will teach you how to draw one of the characters. Check it out here:

Open Schools has some printable Language Arts resources that come with a parent's guide as well as a student workbook. There are three levels: Basic, Developing and Advanced. From looking at them I think most kids would find the Basic a bit easy. If your child is on the pink or yellow spelling list I would recommend the Developing Level, and if your child is on the blue spelling list I would recommend the Advanced Level.

Even though their branches are close, the Vancouver Island Library is a great resource if you are looking for reading material. Two apps that I use and recommend are Libby and Hoopla and these will give you access to free ebooks and audio books through your library account. If you don't have a library card don't worry. You can use the link below to sign up for one on line!
